Title: Happy Turkey Day to everybody
Post by rmillay on Nov 23rd, 2017, 5:41pm

Greetings from London.  People here are Christmas shopping, the weather here is grey with brief bouts of sprinkles.  A front gave us some sunshine today, but with wind and colder temperatures.  We went to Warwick Castle and clambered around--interesting place.  Nothing was open for early dinner, so we sat in a pub and drank until the kitchen opened.  That caused us to miss our train by two minutes, so we waited in the cold and dark for an hours or the next one.  London never heard of the ADA.  Kathy has walked miles and climbed hundreds of steps.  I hope Nietzsche was right!  There are scads of bike commuters here.  We've seen a lot of folders, particularly around the railways.  Not a single recumbent, though.  See you Tuesday.

Do they have rental bikes in London, similar to those in Dallas and Ft. Worth (Limebikes, etc.)?

They have rent bikes that look more like traditional cruisers, with wrap-around fenders.  At least as clunky looking, there are racks of them lots of places.  I've seen several of them in use.
