Title: Re: Rear DR cable fray Post by catroad254 on Mar 14th, 2017, 6:47pm That bend is not a great design but I have gone over 5000 miles on cables with the same X9 derailleur on the Meta. I think the angle of cable entry is the critical factor.

Title: Re: Rear DR cable fray Post by FlyingLaZBoy on Mar 20th, 2017, 10:46am ICE and the SRAM rep say that this has occurred a few times, and they are investigating.  In the meantime, John replaced the cable, and took some emery cloth to the leading edge of the derailleur ramp to round it off a bit.  I'll keep an eye on it, over the next couple of months... PB

Cable hasn't frayed again, but haven't really put very many miles on the bike, since.

I anticipate doing more riding over the April-July timeframe than I did over Nov-March, so we'll see how things compare... PB
