It in my neighborhood so I should be there on my blue trike. I think its the only trike I've seen with an American flag tall enough that it uses a guy wire to help keep it from falling over. Hope for 40miles and to eek out 12mph pace. |
Title: Re: Hot Rocks, Rockwall, TX, 13-Aug, Post by MrWizard on Aug 10th, 2016, 4:43pm I was looking forward to that until I saw 2 mandatory 2-lane U turns on the 100k. I wrote the event contact on the web page and asked about the plan for that -especially with tandems or long recumbent .. No reply Dennis wrote:

Title: Re: Hot Rocks, Rockwall, TX, 13-Aug, Post by Dennis on Aug 11th, 2016, 5:16pm I didn't look at the 100k. Detours to avoid road construction are hard to avoid around here these days, but when they are calling their 100k route a race and giving prizes for winners, it seems like narrow road U-turns would be something you'd plan your detours to avoid too. |
