Shellbear, you can run any size wheels if the Encore has the disc brakes. 650c, 24's...what ever you need to reach ground. |
Title: Re: Schlitter encore Post by shellbear on Mar 22nd, 2016, 8:45pm I think my X-seam is like...39". That's not gonna work is it?? |

Doubt it but you could still try it, The Encore does have disc brakes. I have 650 on my CA-2, we could try those just to see. If that works, you would have to buy wheels but I could give you a discount, |
Title: Re: Schlitter encore Post by Bent_Vision on Mar 23rd, 2016, 7:28pm So what kind of trike are you looking to get? |

Not really looking yet. No room for another bike of any kind. |
Title: Re: Schlitter encore Post by reever on Mar 24th, 2016, 9:20am John, I have an Encore, but I wish I had gotten the disc brakes on mine. Three thousand dollars is VERY reasonable for your Encore. It is a super bike that is fast, reliable, and versatile. 100% quality. Good luck on selling it. I wish I could switch with you and then have you sell mine. Ha! I'm preparing to ride mine from San Diego to Bar Harbor this summer. |
Title: Re: Schlitter encore Post by Phantom Rider on Mar 24th, 2016, 1:27pm John How about a component list so we can see how she is configured. wheeels gearing/shifters FD/RD cranks brakes seat and pad if i missed this list somewhere please forgive me.....how would you compare it to your CA2? |
Title: Re: Schlitter encore Post by jcsadowski on Mar 25th, 2016, 6:38pm Quote:
I am not a component person but this is my best guess: wheeels - Alsilun 700 c Disc gearing/shifters Scram Barends 30-39-50 front 13-24 rear FD/RD - RD= Scram x9 - 10-speed - I have no idea what the front is. cranks - Gossamer FAS brakes - BB-7 Disc seat and pad - I think it is fiberglass with a ventasit pad. With the bigger wheels it rides a little better than the CA-2 but other than that they are about the same. The disc brakes on the encore stop about ten time faster than the CA-2. |
