Title: Re: 9/5/15 Lancaster Air Show Ride Post by JimFPU on Sep 22nd, 2015, 11:46am Nice to see the surrey top still flying!! Did the mango take his time, or was he rolling in while others were getting ready? The pics make it look as though he was way behind. How does it ride in the Texas heat!? Looking at getting one for here in the UK, but knowing I'll probably end up back in the southern US... |
Title: Re: 9/5/15 Lancaster Air Show Ride Post by MrWizard on Sep 22nd, 2015, 2:09pm The mango would stop at each turn and wait for all the riders to catch up .. then bridge up to the front again and repeat The mango is fine in the texas heat .. in fact I prefer it to the catrike as it keeps most of the sun-load off of me. With the footwells open theres plenty of windflow coming up through the cockpit .. Theres also a LOT of wind that rolls off the body and hits you across the head and face -- keeping your head cool .. The only time it really isn't a lot better than an open bike is on a 14% grade with no low gear because I broke it trying to be clever. . but thats a story for another thread. JimFPU wrote:
