Title: Cardiologist dies on trainer!
Post by jrob_bent on Apr 20th, 2015, 3:41pm

Just got a phone call telling me my 50 year Cardiologist died of an apparent heart attack while riding his trainer. He was a very good doctor and very compassionate. Left behind 3 children. He was training for his first century.   :'(

Wow. That sucks.  I wonder if he himself suffered from heart disease.

All the more reason to cherish every moment of life and live with no regrets.

Unfortunately, with what we know about heart disease, his death is pretty much the definition of it.  Sorry to hear this, jrob.

Sorry you lost your good doctor.  I've lost two med people I liked, in my life.  One to heart attack on Christmas day one year long ago, and the other to a roll over car crash.  Like was said earlier, enjoy your life while you have it for you never know when your time will be up...

And that is the reason I am moving closer to my daughter and grandsons. They are the reason for me trying to stay alive.

Sorry about the loss.

This is another reason NOT to ride a trainer.  Just go ride.  I just kept thinking what a terrible view for your last...

I guess the positive side of that is boredom would not be nearly as messy!

;D  For those who don't know, Kenny (kenbent6) was fairly recently hit on a country road by an old man driving an SUV. He took a licking and kept on ticking. His polished aluminum GRR, "Silver", didn't fare so well (no padding).

But folks can't say that you died doing the thing that you loved, because everyone hates being on a trainer!

So sorry jrob.  May you, and his family find God's peace in this.
