Does anyone have any experience with Trident Trikes? If so, can you share them?

They're relatively new on the scene, but I've not seen any real negative reviews...  don't think anyone local DFW has one.

Trident has been around a while but seem to fly below the radar.  The only one I've seen wasn't in Texas, and it seemed like a blend of a KMX, Terratrike & Greenspeed.   Had that "Made in Taiwan" look in the construction; not in a bad way, just things like skimpy welds (but with good penetration).

Being a Carolina boy I know the Lincolnton NC area has an abundance of very clever skilled craftsman; its also known for fine furniture using solid hardwood.

I talked quite a bit with the owners of Trident. Such nice people. A real Mom and Pop business. The thing that caught me was they seem to go a little extra. I didn't have a chance to ride the trikes, since I didn't ave a baby sitter for Sweet P at the Recumbent Cycle Con so I could test ride. No dealers for them anywhere near Texas. Just curious.

The tandem seems to be a worthy, low-cost alternative to the Australian "G" company's offering.  I'd like to take a turn on each.

I have a Spike ll which I love.
The seat is a bit high compared to my other trikes but not compared to any of the other straight spar bikes.

Build  and service have been wonderful.

At its price point I don't think they can be beat.

Great entry level bike.   Continues to be a pleasant ride

Thank you for that report Rickard. I wanted to ride them at the RCC in St. Charles, but didn't have a baby sitter for Sweet P so I could take off. I talked extensively to them, and I really liked the folks.

We are going to try like the devil to have some at the Heart of Texas Recumbent Rally and Rodeo to test ride. I a, working on it as I write!  :)
