Title: rode the tour de paris- sort of
Post by esbee on Jul 19th, 2014, 10:11am

I did do 10.40 miles on the tour de paris- sort of-
today at the sign up I  asked the organizers to have a shorter route for the slow folks and kids then I planned to ride on the trail de paris.
they said "we do- you can go on the trail de paris and it's free!" but there is nothing about this route on the website. [smiley=headbang.gif]

so I did the easy route and there is even a rest stop with snacks and drinks.

Saw a little girl with spina bifida and a cool trike made just for her. But it does not do turns so she did not ride with her grandfather.  I told them the trail de paris is straight so she could have ridden on that.

Next year, for those who want to do the tour de paris short version of 10 plus miles (the trail goes much further) keep this in mind and its FREE!  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Susan,

Next year Vicky and I will drag our triker friends Lloyd and Terri up there if we have to kidnap them and lock them in the trailer.  They would have had a blast with you.

Really great meeting you and your husband!

If you ever make it down to McKinney with your trike, Susan, I know a nice MUP that you can ride with almost ZERO hills, and if you run the whole thing 2x you will have close to 20mi.  So if you do haul your trike down here some day, let me know and we will show it to you and we can ride.

It's a Multi User Path, depending on the time of day you'll have dog walkers, walkers, runners, kids and the usual amount of IPOD and Phone Zombies, (plugged into their electronics and clueless to their environment).
