After the small plane took off, the pilot lined the MIG up on the runway and brought it up to full throttle. He started his roll out, then shut the throttle down, turned off the runway and taxied back to the apron. I gathered some strength and set out on what would be the fastest I've ever done on a bike...63 MPH! Now let me tell you I was flying my friends. Most curiously I just felt fast just sitting on the bike this late Labor Day Monday morning. I called the house and my youngest came out to take pictures of the momentous occasion after the cool down process. The materials were light weight reeds (which also makes this a Green project! Maybe even would qualify for some Government grant or something!) from the local creek where my kids gather them to make bows & arrows, with some light weight rip-stop nylon in a bright fast color. The whole thing was assembled with zip ties, so as not to add too much weight. Since I "rented" the X-Stream for no fee over the weekend, this wonderful mod can be had for almost the same price; I'm sure Jay will want to have this beauty so he can attain these terrific speeds on the "slow" bike he has. the best part though was that even at 88 degrees outside I felt as if it were only 72! It was like having A/C with fresh air! It was a joyous moment. So without further ado I give you the speed surrey!!!
