Title: 2008 ActionBent Low Racer Post by jayg on Sep 8th, 2010, 8:55pm 2008 ActionBent low racer (Manufactured by Performer) for sale for $995. Low mileage - 2,306 miles. This is a quality, nice-handling, comfortable bike in excellent condition. Barbara Buatois won her class at RAAM 2010, riding the 2010 version of this bike (The 2010 version has caliper brakes and larger wheels). Four modifications have been made to the bike. The stock, heavy, FRP seat has been replaced with a lightweight Optima Baron FRP seat w/adjustable headrest. The steering block has been replaced with a reverse block to move the handle bar 4” forward. The return side of the chain has been dropped to simplify the chainline and eliminate noise. Finally, 3” has been cut off of the boom to fit my short X-seam. Current maximum X-Seam that adjustable boom will accommodate is approximately 47”. The tiller swivels up for easy cockpit entry and exit, and its length is adjustable. The 160 mm, dual disk brakes will stop the bike on a dime. This is a straight-line speed machine; it will not make small radius U-turns. If a mountain bike cassette (11-34) is preferred, I will install one in place of the currently-installed road bike cassette. I have a FastBack NorBacK frame bag that I will give to the purchaser. PM me if interested and would like to arrange for a test ride. That's too bad. It matches the color of your trike. They would look so good parked next to each other. :) |

Title: Re: 2008 ActionBent Low Racer Post by TonyWard on Mar 23rd, 2011, 10:40am yep - can't wait to get it out to the lake and chase some roadies!!!! Of course after my class with Bikin' Mike - apparently I'm not supposed to be doing that except on interval days if I want to get faster and stronger. If too much of it is bad for you - why is it so much fun? |
