Title: October Get-together...
Post by FlyingLaZBoy on Sep 30th, 2007, 1:58pm

Now that TTTT is done, we can start planning a repeat of last year's midcities ride, possibly repeating lunch at Greg and Alexis's place....  yes?

YES!  I'm thinking either one of the last two weekends of the month, or the first weekend in November.

For Peggy & I,we would like to ride in the brevet in Italy on Oct.20th. But,you schedule the ride the best suites everyone's schedule.
Would lunch include that incredible pasta served at the TTTT's??

I want to plan my schedule around this event.  So lets pick a date ASAP and commandeer Mr & Mrs Gross fine residence.

Sincerely,
Terry

I'm game as long as we get it done before November 15th. I get sliced and diced on that day.

Checked with the Mrs., and she's pretty sure that she possibly has training commitments every Saturday except MAYBE next saturday.  Is Sunday feasible for people at all?

Football Sunday?? What the hell-that's what Tivo is for. I could do a Sunday, but with Peggy's schedule, who knows. I say you pick a day & who shows is who shows.

My doctor has restricted me to "short rides" until my counts get up. I haven't been on the bike since HHH, so how should we define a "short" ride? Less than...? Anybody feel like some "short" rides? ;D

The Trinity Trail is about 15 miles from Beach to the opposite end, so choose your distance vs. that...

Umm, still limited by the need to ride the bike to the ride, how about a couple of laps around White Rock, or maybe just one lap? I'll be overjoyed to just get back on the bike, at any speed. And after hearing about how you did in the TTTT I don't feel so bad about you dropping me on the lunch ride earlier this year.

Sounds like a Sunday is the best day.  Rose can make Sundays and not Saturdays.  I'll try to get some of the group in Arlington to get there as well.

Has it already been a year since the last get-together at Greg's?  That's hard to believe.

Sunday morning or afternoon works for me...  Terrie can't make it, but that's the way her schedule is...  :(

Alexis wants to finish our bathroom remodel first, since we're storing bedroom items in the living room at the moment.  I'll be able to know for sure Monday I should think.

There's a free ride in FW on the 27th I think we as RBENT should attend. Only 12.5 miles of mostly flat trails, but it would be good exposure for our group and recumbents in general. The name of he ride is The Clean Air Bike Rally, in Trinity Park the ride starts at 0900, registration at 0800 and more information at www.fortworthgov.org . My church wants me to be there, but right now I don't know if I could get my bike on the Trinity Express and get there in time to make the ride.

Ok I just got done reading the TRE schedule and the train doesn't even leave Dallas until after 0800 on Saturday, so there's no way I can use the TRE to get there. Anyone interested in a short ride in Ft. Worth after a ver long ride to get there?
