Title: Honey Ride Post by Richard on Mar 19th, 2007, 10:54am Took my honey out for a tune up ride. Im trying to gently introduce her to our crazy bent world. ;) We took a lap arount Whiterock and she did fine. In fact she's probably in far better shape than I was when I started riding a year ago. I hope she doesn't find out what drop means too soon! She may wind up kicking my buns a year from now! |
Title: Re: Honey Ride Post by aikigreg on Mar 19th, 2007, 1:20pm Heh - when I read that the first time, I thought your honey was your BENT. :P |
Title: Re: Honey Ride Post by FlyingLaZBoy on Mar 19th, 2007, 4:54pm That's better than a "HoneyDo" ride... which is where you CAN'T go riding because of all the "Honey Do"s... ;D ;D ;D |
Title: Re: Honey Ride Post by Richard on Mar 20th, 2007, 1:43pm I heared that! |

Title: Re: Honey Ride Post by Opus the Poet on Mar 26th, 2007, 6:02pm Drop v. to leave behind, to discard ex I dropped him like a used kleenix. Opus |
Title: Re: Honey Ride Post by suecoop on Mar 26th, 2007, 8:17pm Thanks for clarifying the drop thing...somehow it seemed much worse than it acually is. So, if I get dropped.....instead of being all down and out :'( .... I can just pull out the Palm and play a few video games till the SAG vehicle shows up hauls me back to people. 8-) No problem there. |
Title: Re: Honey Ride Post by Opus the Poet on Mar 27th, 2007, 5:18pm That assumes ther is a SAG. If you're out on your own there's no SAG, just you gutting it out. And from the tone I took from Richard's post, I think he's more worried about you dropping him than vice versa. :P ;D Opus |
Title: Re: Honey Ride Post by suecoop on Mar 27th, 2007, 9:39pm Thanks Opus. When I read it and replied, I had visions of being out on the road watching everyones' back as they left me in the dirt. Obviously I'm new to biking and the terminology. :-[ Thank goodness I have a translator close! ;) I am really looking forward to riding more now that I have my bent and have no pain when I ride. Title: Re: Honey Ride Post by FlyingLaZBoy on Mar 29th, 2007, 6:18pm Welcome, Sue -- it makes all the difference in the world, doesn't it!!! What a concept, actually enjoying a bike ride... Paul |
Title: Re: Honey Ride Post by suecoop on Mar 29th, 2007, 8:51pm Paul - I'm very glad to be here. The difference in bikes is unbelievable! With that upright I couldn't decide which hurt worse, my wrists or my rear end. :'( I couldn't figure out why the heck I should torture myself just to get out and ride a bike. I had pretty much given up on getting to ride with Richard...... .....until this really cool Santa brought the Burley. 8-) |
