Actually it was 2 or 3 DFs, about 3 or 4 two wheeled bents (I didn't get a good enough look to see what kind), and 2 or 3 trikes.

They were riding in NE Allen, on Country Brook Lane, at 10:30AM on Saturday, 9/7. Was that anyone in this forum? If so, let me know....I live very close to this area and might be interested in riding with y'all if our speed/distance goals are close enough...

I've never seen that many bents riding together around here before. I was riding in the opposite direction, with a DF friend.

Sounds like it was the Plano East ride. The Clowns are kind of taking this ride over; Key and I are the trikers, Carolyn, Jay, and Tony were on 'bents. We take off from near Plano Cycling & Fitness on 18th St. at 08:00 (time changes in October). A couple of other RBENTers sometimes join in, also. Today we averaged 14 mph for 44 miles. There were some who took the short way, for about 32 miles.

I was riding in the PlanoBike Women's ride yesterday. 18.2 mi. Had a nice time too. I was the first bent to ride with their group. Saw lots of other cyclists,but no other recumbents.

A Carbent, a Corsa, a P-38, and two Catrike 700s.

If you had arrived 30 minutes earlier and driven a block east of PC&F on 18th St, you would have seen 5 other recumbents. :) Come join us on the East Side ride some Saturday.

I would, Jay but I fear the pace will turn out to be far too speedy for me. Perhaps you can convince Dave to ride with y'all...he's a lot faster. Otherwise you will have to wait until our tandem is ready. Then I can keep up!

I'm afraid the pace is too slow for me, so I won't be joining y'all. I was definitely a nice surprise to see so many bents out at once! I hope to at least see y'all out riding again sometime. :-)

Don't know if the ride would be fast enough for Dave. At times on the flats it's pedal, coast, pedal, coast, so we can keep the slower riders in sight. It would be cool to have a tandem rolling with us.

You must have mistaken me for someone else! ;D ;D I'd definitely not say I was fast.. Not compared to some of the folks around here..
