Title: Log your miles! Post by aikigreg on Jun 23rd, 2013, 12:24pm Just threw in almost a month's worth of riding for Alexis and myself on bikejournal.com. She's sitting right on 900 miles this year, which is her biggest mileage year since we started riding. We'll be doing ragbrai, so she should be at 1500 or so by end of July. [smiley=dancer.gif] If you're not signed up or logging your miles, you should. It's a great way to track your miles from year to year and compare. We're the 6th largest club in Texas in miles, only a few thousand behind the FWBA, and with many fewer member for sure. It'd be cool to beat them! |
Title: Re: Log your miles! Post by rmillay on Jun 23rd, 2013, 12:34pm +1 on that! A couple of our riders who don't do BJ could add a lot to our totals. [smiley=thumbsup.gif] |
Title: Re: Log your miles! Post by Phantom Rider on Jun 23rd, 2013, 4:15pm Currently logging my miles in bike Journal and flying the RBENT flag proudly. I also use Endomondo, Strava and Garmin to track them as wel, just curious what other folks are using because I'm growing tired of all the different places. I ride with a Garmin 800 and gather my data on it, I no longer use any phone apps for various reasons. Currently i upload from the garmin to all of these sites except bike journal of which is a manual entry. I started with endomondo 18 months ago when I began riding and then began using strava about a year ago and of course garmin when I bought the 800. I migrated to bike journal so i would have visibility to the totals that i don't have in any of the other sites. I purchased the premium membership from endomondo for this year and honestly like the graphical information it provides. I only use the free strava account but have a 30 day trial that I'm going to start today and see what it has has to offer. thoughts? |
Title: Re: Log your miles! Post by jdorlon on Jun 25th, 2013, 9:49am I upload my ride data to Ride With GPS (the free version), and I also keep it on my phone (on Cyclemeter). I like Ride with GPS better than Strava. |
