Just checking to see that all us RBENTers are OK after last night's bad storms! I know some folks live over on the FTW side and beyond, where the worst of the bad weather was...

It was headed right for Bud there for a while, but we all seem to be ok Tore through some of my student's neighborhoods, but everyone seems to be alive and well.

We had sirens four times but no actual funnels.

Irving is fine. Has anyone heard from Bud and Jerry(Cookie)?

Yeah, it looked bad for us until the cell headed straight for us combined with the one that got Granbury and Cleburne. Not even any hail here in Crowley.

Kenny J called Jerry (who lives in Granbury) this morning, while we were at Barbec's. He said his truck sustained some hail damage, and he has debris in his yard, but his home was not damaged.

OK here in Oke Cliff. Had a radar scare, but nothing came of it. Got some pea-size hail, and my pecan trees got a little trimming, that's all.

Slept through it, as well. Nothing like a storm to deepen sleep. Moreover, I did do the Trishop, (Plano), Ride of Silence, though it was cancelled due to the threat of rain. The ride leader decided to do the course, anyway. There was one other upright, so it was us three plying the course. The rain held, (praises to the Rain Holder), and fun was had by us all with a machine average of 14.4 mph, but we were regularly in the mid teens and lower 20s. Just delicious speeds.

I didn't know there was a storm 'til my mother from Massachusetts called to ask if I was okay. (huh?). She gave me the news and it was confirmed later on the way in to work. McKinney got thunder and lightning, and a bit of rain and wind before I went to bed.

Just rain and very small hail in Carrollton. I put my earplugs in and slept right through it. :)

Tornadoes went about 3 miles south of me. Got some quarter size hail, but no damage.
