Title: Performance Bicycle in Plano Post by jayg on Mar 1st, 2013, 4:04pm Saw a crankset on sale at Performance, so I made a long drive from East Dallas to North Plano in my gas-sucking bike/trike carrier. The address they list on their website is 6101 Avenue K, which doesn't exist. I assumed it was a typo and that the store was actually located on K Avenue. There is an LA Fitness set way back off of the road at the listed address. Called them when I got home and found out their store is on the back side of LA Fitness. Maybe everybody but me knows where they're located, but I thought I would post this anyway. On the way back home decided to take a side trip and check out RBM's recumbent offerings at their Richardson store. They have one of each of Catrike's trike line on the floor, except for a Pocket. The only high-performance recumbent on the floor was a black Catrike 700. |

Yeah. Friday is one of your days off, isn't it? You could have gone with me and bought something red to make one of your many HPVs faster. :) |
Title: Re: Performance Bicycle in Plano Post by Patti on Mar 2nd, 2013, 10:24am I had a similar experience when I went to the Performance store on Walnut Hill, only to find it gone. Had a heck of a time finding the one over off 635 because it, too is in a very awkward location. Maybe they do this to encourage people to buy online. |

Since Performance closed their store near North Park, it's cheaper for people living near central Dallas to shop online. I drove to Plano, because I didn't want to get caught in the IH 635 mess. When I passed the IH 635 on-ramp from Central Expressway, about 1:30 PM, traffic on the ramp was at a standstill. Traffic was somewhat congested on Central Expressway all the way to North Plano and back to central Dallas. I'm gong to have to need something really bad, before I make that trip again. |

Because I don't want to do stop and go traffic on IH 635 (LBJ Fwy). I had my fill of it driving to and from Fort Worth when I was working. It will be a lot easier and less nerve wracking to just drive my computer to Performance's website from now on when I see a sale item that I must have. :) |
