Title: Repairing a twist shifter grip Post by Opus the Poet on Jul 15th, 2012, 10:07pm The grip on the right shifter on my Fusion has gone gooey on me [smiley=twitchy.gif] It's coming off on my gloves and fingers and making a mess everywhere. Is there a known fix for this? The bike is only 4 years old, how long are these things supposed to last? This is the shifter that gets used dozens of times a ride, unlike the one that mostly just goes along for the ride and seldom gets used. that one is still in great shape. |
Title: Re: Repairing a twist shifter grip Post by johnnybent on Jul 15th, 2012, 11:16pm Mine will need replacement soon so you forced me to google this. It used to be you had to get the whole shifter but I've found a couple of places online like bizrate that have replacement parts. $18-20 for a grip. Call around the local shops, might be possible they kept a take off for someone changing to triggers or they can order you one. |
