I plan on going to the ride. I ride a silver Lightning P-38 and usually ride at a moderate pace.

This ride has been on my to do list for a couple of years. With the closing of the Dublin plant I think it might have just fallen off the list.

Has the plant closed now?  Last I heard it just wasn't bottling DP anymore.

This is from the ride director.

Since corporate DP has killed off Dublin Dr Pepper, sadly we need to remove reference to Dublin DP in the bike listing. But otherwise the ride will continue as it has in the past, with all the free "Imperial Sugar Dr Pepper" riders would like to drink.

My wife and I rode the 9 mile TDP today.  It was only her 2nd time on the trike and her first paid ride  She still had a grin on her face at the finish line.  The only ones that finished behind us was the 70-80 year old ladies on a tandem quad with there family.  At least she finished.  She said she would die on the course before she sagged her first ride.
[smiley=cheers.gif]

After the ride we stayed on the trikes and cruised thru the booths at the festival  She was the center of attention there and spent most of the time telling people about her Catrike and how much she loves it.

I guess that the Catrike was a good investment afterall.

And to top it off our sister-in-law won 1st place in the Womens 70 mile ride.

BTW, the ride was great  Good weather, good sag support, easy registration and plenty of fruit, water and DP.  Overall a very pleasant ride.
