Steve is going to be racing RAAM ( Race Acrossed America). Steve had been an alternate on a 4 person team. Last week one of his team mates blew out a knee and now Steve is a racer!!!!!!

As a racer, Steve now most come up with quuit a few big ticket things. One being a one way ticket out to California June 13, and home from Baltimore, sometime around June 25th.

Is there anyone in our club that might have air mile points that you would be welling to donate!!!

I saw Allan's facebook post, and was waiting for you to post so I could say [smiley=pepper.gif]CONGRATULATIONS STEVE! [smiley=pepper.gif]

I used up all my points when my Dad died earlier this year or I'd gladly give them up. Tell us how else we can help and I'm sire we'll all do our best to pitch in.

Thanks Greg, Its bitter sweet, we feel so bad for Allan :'(.
Most of the things he will need are going to be bike things, We need to get his 650c CA 2.0 back up to race speed.I will be taking it to PCF on Tues for an overhaul. We bought him Zipps for his 700CA2.0. Tiers, tubes, Infinit to get him accrossed the country. A sport tub( we already bought) to ship one of his bikes home. A wheel box to ship wheels in.
Most of this we have already taken care of.

I'm so proud of him!! I"m so glad I'm part of the crew and be there with him!!!

Steve I will gladly lend my 650c Renn Disk wheel if you need it.... Any other parts also. Best of Luck man!

Thanks we are so lucky to have rbrnt and our friends here [smiley=notworthy.gif]. Steve has Zipps for his 650 and now for the 700. We are hoping he will not even need the 650c bike, it's just a back up bike. Peggy

Peggy - Does that qualify as an awesome Mother's Day Present, or what? Why don't you tell the Forum what team Steve will be on and a little about the riders and support crew.

Congratulations Steve. You can come and filter through all the stuff we have and use whatever you need. You've trained increasingly hard over the past 5 years and deserve this opportunity to exhibit your skills.

Awesome.... it's been an interesting last few years, hasn't it, since those first rides together and our road trip up to RANS and that first "Reclining Flyers" 2007TTTT race!!!

Ray, Nelson, Bud, Greg...I think of all the rando rides (all those "K's) in the heat, wind, TX chip seal, dog chases, bonus miles...all the good times. And Peggy has been through all the up/downs. [smiley=runover.gif]

How much fun!!!!That was Steve and I's second century ever!!!! Steve rode on your team and I rode the 100 mile race.
We had so much fun.
I think it would be great to see all of you back at the TTT this year, It's the TTT 10th anniversary, and Rbent's team 5th anniversary. Please come play.

I would like to thank you guys for showing us this great world of ultra racing.( riding)

I will also be posting on my facebook when I have time.But as crew I will have very little time to do much of anything other then have care of our team.

The recumbent world will be well represented at RAAM and RAW this year. Bacchetta has 2 four person teams and When we have SK( of Team Bacchetta) attempting ( completing) to be the first recumbent women to finish race acrossed the west.There will be a lot of pretty CA2.0 bikes out on the roads of America this summer.
