Dave R and I are riding the Poteet route tonight (5/8), 6PM rollout, if anyone would like to join in... probably a 16-17ish rolling speed in flat areas, not a hammerfest. ~33 miles total, finishing at dusk.

I'm doing the Mesquite route tonight (5/17), departing at 6PM. Probably rolling at a 16mph pace, there's at least one new rider coming out.

They're finally making some progress out there... the U-turn under Hwy 80 is open at Collins Rd, and they've just recently repaved that crappy section of Paschal Rd just east of there. Or you could continue down the service road to the new concrete on Lawson, which is bike-able but not open to cars yet. They even re-did the track crossing at Larkin and Scyene near the Mesquite Airport! Woohoolelujah! [smiley=cheers.gif] [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif]

Bumping -- I'll probably be doing a "Casual pace" ride in Mesquite tonight, escorting newer riders...

Terrie and I are taking the Margarita Machine out to Poteet HS tonight, for a CASUAL PACED 25-miler, rolling at 6PM... If anyone would like to join us, company is welcome!!!! We even got matching green helmets.... [smiley=grin.gif] Poteet HS is on Galloway, just south of Town East Blvd.

Nice ride tonight... T and I finished with 28 miles, which was pretty cool... gave some folks a ride on the Margarita Machine around the parking lot after we were done, which everybody enjoyed...

Love the "new Lawson Rd", flat and smooth, now if they would only extend it another 25 miles or sol [smiley=dancer.gif]
