Title: New ceiling mount bike rack Post by shellbear on Nov 13th, 2011, 8:40pm I got a super awesome bike rack for my Musashi and installed it today. If you want one of your own you can find it at Bike Nashbar: http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product_10053_10052_175219_-1 http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/389000_10100216324590673_9201054_45486462_2008814150_n.jpg |
Title: Re: New ceiling mount bike rack Post by johnnybent on Nov 13th, 2011, 8:57pm That's nice...But I was under the impression those catbikes were so light ya needed rope on the ground to keep em from floating away. |
Title: Re: New ceiling mount bike rack Post by shellbear on Nov 13th, 2011, 9:01pm Ha ha, I wish! Sadly it's much heavier than the Specialized Tarmac I used to ride. It's lighter than the trikes though! :) |
Title: Re: New ceiling mount bike rack Post by Bud_Bent on Nov 13th, 2011, 9:58pm It's a lot cheaper at Harbor Freight (http://www.harborfreight.com/bicycle-lift-95803.html). |

Title: Re: New ceiling mount bike rack Post by rmillay on Nov 14th, 2011, 2:26pm How long have you been living there, SB? I dont have two square feet of wall space in my house. I have to park the bikes in the dining room. [smiley=undecided.gif] |

I've been in this house all of two months! LOL. My husband and I had a house in Pflugerville a few years ago that had a 2.5 car garage: it was AWESOME! Sadly those are not as common up here in DFW so we're making do with the 2 car and had to downsize what we keep in the garage. We also haven't had a lifetime to accumulate STUFF and after growing up in a home with a borderline hoarder, I intend to keep it that way. ;) |

Title: Re: New ceiling mount bike rack Post by TonyWard on Nov 14th, 2011, 8:54pm hmm.... I wonder how many of these Jay has ordered to make more room in his garage for new bikes? He is going to have to come back soon and start defending himself. [smiley=duel.gif] |

I'm keeping an eye on the Forum from a location near Las Vegas. Will be back home tomorrow night. The doors on my garage go horizontal when they open, so I can't use the hoists for storing bikes. Might install eyebolts on the back of one door and use one when I'm working on a bike and take both wheels off. Haven't seen those hoists in a Harbor Freight store, but wasn't specifically looking for them. |

Title: Re: New ceiling mount bike rack Post by JimFPU on Nov 21st, 2011, 7:10am Wow. Where do you get a garage like that...? |

Drove to old gold mining towns of Rhyolite, Goldfield, and Tonopah, NV; then drove back South and entered Death Valley via Hy 72. Exited Death Valley and drove through Pahrump on Hy 52 on the way back to Las Vegas. Had a great dinner in Terrible's Town Casino in Pahrump. |
