Been talking to others about doing an ride to lake lavon and camp for the night and ride back home on sunday.I have three commited maybe four so far for this ride. It is roughly between 20 to 26 miles for either location at lake lavon..I will be at the clown meeting this thursday (Lord willing ).
The camp is 18 $ for two tent on a electric and water site.Plan on leaving around 8:30 to 9 am saturday.JoElla will be taking the truck as a sag or haul your stuff. It still to early for her to pedal hard .If you want to call me for anything about the trip call 214-779-2428
Now Kenny mention maybe meeting at the camp then ride out and back to camp. More info later this week on this...

Either Lavonia or the east side lake off hwy 78. One of them lake road connect to hwy 6 on north side.

Ok the area where we gonna turn to go to the lake is Eubanks and Hwy 78. Going norrth on Eubanks and stay to the right and it turn into Ross Floss and put you right into the road to the lake park. The lake Park is calle East Fork Park...
I drove the route today and it is right at 19.5 miles from my house. I talk to the people at the lake and to verify the cost and 18$ for water and electric lot and 10$ for the water tent only.. Only two tent per lot.I was thinking of leaving between 10am to 11am instead of 8 or 9 am..

That's about 2 miles from our house, so Shellene and I will probably ride over and say hello.

Would like to do this but already committed to doing Paul's airport ride and a party Saturday evening. Keep updating in the event of a date change or if another event is planned in the future.

Will do . I think we might do one from Irving to Joe Pool lake..We will let you know..

As of today there is only 3 of us riding out to Lake and total of 4 going. No phone call from anybody.Have a good week.

Ok here the deal. Were gonna leave my house at 11 am and she should meet at the Whataburger at 12 noon at Murghy rd and 78. It's on the east side of Firewheel Mall.We have lunch and then proceed on to the lake.
P.S. I have an extra tent (one man ) if anybody like to join.

Opus, I called Thomas and he asked that I reply for him since they are temporarily without a computer. The Whataburger that you've mentioned is the correct one. Thomas posted his cell in his first post (214-779-2428) so if you have issues or questions, you can call him. See you Saturday.

We had a great time and my son Levi rode JoElla trike for the first time and got in 43 miles for two days. We got back to the house around 12:45 pm. Had the wind and litlle long hills coming back home. Thanks to Dianna and Eddie for coming out and Opus too.We had total of 5 riders. One on Crank forward and 4 on trikes . Me and Ediie pulled our trailer and Opus had panniers setup on his bike.
The ride on 78 was not at all that bad...

Enjoyed riding with everyone and really glad that Opus met us and rode out the last part of the ride and camped. Opus, sorry we didn't get a chance to say "Goodbye". I wasn't aware that you were peeling off so early. Enjoyed the weekend. Thanks Joella for hauling my "stuff".
