Title: Handlebars Post by jcsadowski on Jun 15th, 2011, 5:33pm To fight hand numbness I ordered the B-41 handlebar from Rans. This photo shows the Rans (outside) next to the Bacchetta "long reach" handlebar. http://www.bicycle-stuff.com/main/bent/handlebars/2011-06-04-%20001.jpg This photo shows the Rans handlebar next to the Bacchetta stand handlebar. http://www.bicycle-stuff.com/main/bent/handlebars/2011-06-04-%20004.jpg |
Title: Re: Handlebars Post by JimFPU on Jun 20th, 2011, 12:38pm What are you doing with all the extra bars? |
Title: Re: Handlebars Post by jcsadowski on Jun 20th, 2011, 2:01pm The standard is not mine. The Bacchetta long reach is a limited edition, very rare and I am going to keep it. sorry. |
Title: Re: Handlebars Post by TonyWard on Jun 20th, 2011, 2:14pm I have standard "Aero" tweener bars hanging out in my garage if anyone needs them. I don't think I'll ever...... |
Title: Re: Handlebars Post by JimFPU on Jun 20th, 2011, 2:49pm OK cool. I'm looking for something that I can use on the Cruzbike I picked up. It had MTB drop bars on it, but the seller wanted them back, due to our price negotiations. I now realize that I should have paid the extra as I can't seem to find any bars that work... :'( Any Pics of the bars Tony? |
Title: Re: Handlebars Post by TonyWard on Jun 20th, 2011, 4:09pm i'll have to take some....it looks like John's (inside bar) on the Rans vs. Bacchetta standard pic. |
Title: Re: Handlebars Post by FlyingLaZBoy on Jun 21st, 2011, 9:29pm John, what aspect of the other bars do you believe is going to improve your hand issue? If you need to adjust the angle of the grips, you might look into the "HR3Way" RANS bars, which Greg and I have on our bikes. |
Title: Re: Handlebars Post by jcsadowski on Jun 21st, 2011, 9:50pm Since I installed the Rans B-41 handlebars I have not experienced any hand numbness. The bars are a little wider and the grip portion longer allowing me to install longer, wider grips, giving me a number of options in holding the bars. Otherwise the HR3Way was next. |

Ah. I guess that explains why the guy at Plano Cycling had no idea what I was talking about, when I recently asked about the extended reach bars. So you like the Rans bars on your Bachetta, do you? |
