Lone Star Randonneurs will have another populaire Saturday June 4th at 08:00. We will meet at the parking lot at the Lynn Creek Marina on Joe Pool Lake. No fees or membership required. I think the route goes to Maypearl and back--a nice, hilly route, with some scenic roads. Hope to see some 'bents there.

I'm gonna have to quit registering for the pay rides early. Already registered and payed up for the Mesquite ride on the same day. Oh well...... there is always next month.

What he didnt tell you...the route has a monster hill...kinda like the one at mesquite only steeper.

Not a monster, really, but taxing. It comes about three miles after the turnaround, so you've had a chance to rest up. One small hill on the way out is quite steep, but short enough. Add a couple of wooden bridges, a stretch of loose gravel, and a couple of screaming downhills, and you've got something for everyone! If I can do it on a trike, any of you guys can do it.
