Title: faring question Post by brry_wood on Jan 22nd, 2011, 2:41pm Got in nice hour and half on the trike first chance out side this year. One other question are farings all that big effect? |
Title: Re: faring question Post by johnnybent on Jan 22nd, 2011, 5:29pm I purchased a used zziper to try answer that same question for myself. For me it blocks alot of cold air that would hit your chest. I did'nt know what to expect with cross winds or gusts thinking I would be blown all over the place. I feel the fairing has given the bike some stabilty with the wind. My biggest issue now is with lighting placement. Biggest cost is with the mounting hardware. |
Title: Re: faring question Post by kenbent6 on Jan 22nd, 2011, 7:33pm brry wood, I have had farings on tour easy and GRR since 1996 and I think they are great in cold weather. The wind is not a factor as I am concerned. |
Title: Re: faring question Post by JimFPU on Jan 23rd, 2011, 9:43pm I'm looking for one for the Infinity, any suggestions? |
Title: Re: faring question Post by FlyingLaZBoy on Jan 30th, 2011, 3:52pm We had a Zzipper on Terrie's SXP, and she said she got too hot during summer riding... I can certainly see how it would be nice in the cold weather, and I know Bud Baker keeps his on his SXP for that reason... Makes transport a little more problematical depending upon how you carry the bike on the vehicle... I used to like my mini-fairing I used to have on my SXP. |
