Title: Plano Fun Ride - 8/7 Post by TonyWard on Jul 20th, 2010, 9:20pm Anyone know if the Plano Fun Ride (http://www.planofunride.org/) has a 100k route? On the greatest website on earth, it lists a 67 mile route (http://www.bicycle-stuff.com/main/01/10_rides/08_aug_10.htm#funride). Is this a typo or have they just not updated their website? I was looking for a 100k to do for training before HHH and thought this might be a good close one. Anyone do this ride before? There was only 1 review and that was for the 10 mile route. I don't need a lot of support - just someplace to refill water and others to ride with so I don't get run over or lost. |

They have a Facebook picture link which also refers to a 100k and a 45 mile route. You might consider the Rockwall Hot Rocks ride the next week, I've done it 3 times and would think it's a good training ride for HHH. |

Title: Re: Plano Fun Ride - 8/7 Post by TonyWard on Jul 31st, 2010, 2:30pm When I was out at the PBA ride this morning - one of the organizers from the Fun Ride was out there to try to drum up participation. He said due to traffic control issues, they couldn't have longer than the 30 mile route but that we could do 2 laps. Still not sure I'm going to do it - but just FYI. |
