For some reason I have never found a need to cover my face - but that is just me - I have gone as much as 4 layers on my legs. |

If it gets colder than that, balaclava (thin) added beneath the ear band. As it gets even colder I begin adding windproof layers of hood/face guard/helmet cover. The face guards you can get as ski items. I have a winter helmet that is a size too large to accomodate all the thickness. Shellene |

Title: Re: How do you keep your Ears warm during winter r Post by Opus the Poet on Dec 2nd, 2009, 9:49pm I use a Polar Fleece 'clava and a full face helmet. when things get really cold I have a motorcycle helmet with a face shield and a baffle to keep my breath from fogging the shield. I have ridden down well below freezing with these setups.I got the idea from a guy in Canada that routinely rides in temperatures more than 20 below 0 C.BTW he's insane. |
