Title: Denton Turkey Roll Post by mleuck on Nov 16th, 2009, 10:24pm Who's doing it this year? looks like they changed the course quite a bit and took out everything west of I-35 |
Title: Re: Denton Turkey Roll Post by diannalightning on Nov 17th, 2009, 11:41am There are about 4 or 6 of us planning on doing this ride. Joe M., Carolyn R, Urbinrider, myself and possibly 2 of my friends on a recumbent tandem. Of course, we might see you at the start, but you'll leave us in the dust. We'll waive to you as you leave us. |
Title: Re: Denton Turkey Roll Post by jayg on Nov 17th, 2009, 5:23pm Was planning on doing the Ride, until I went down on the Corsa this morning at WRL. [smiley=injured.gif] If my super sore butt heals sufficiently, I might do the 35-mile route. |
Title: Re: Denton Turkey Roll Post by jcsadowski on Nov 17th, 2009, 5:56pm I just visited the web site. Turns out they changed the routes again. Now they also have a 47 mile route and the long route is now 63 miles. Jay get better... |
Title: Re: Denton Turkey Roll Post by sstexex on Nov 17th, 2009, 7:06pm I'm planning on bein there! 47 or 63, can't decide. |
Title: Re: Denton Turkey Roll Post by jcsadowski on Nov 17th, 2009, 8:05pm I am looking to do the 47. |
Title: Re: Denton Turkey Roll Post by catroad254 on Nov 17th, 2009, 8:09pm It looks like a good bent turnout. See y'all there. Corsa Ken |
Title: Re: Denton Turkey Roll Post by aikigreg on Nov 17th, 2009, 8:10pm I am a definite maybe. I doubt I'll be able to hang too long, since I'm still coughing up a storm, but I'm working on getting a bike ready. |
Title: Re: Denton Turkey Roll Post by evblazer on Nov 17th, 2009, 8:54pm I'll probably be there but most likely on my Merlin since me on the cruzbike wouldn't be a good idea if there are many people there, especially after a few nights of left for dead 2 [smiley=evil.gif] |

What's up with the Hurricane? So what are going to end up doing with that Bucking Bronco ... I mean cruzbike? ;) I'd be there except I'm meeting a guy from my IC3 club for perm preview ride over in Keller. Take Care, Nelson. |
Title: Re: Denton Turkey Roll Post by evblazer on Nov 18th, 2009, 11:01am I'm going to try the cruzbike with the new MTB Drop Bars but the seat is just way too high for me. If I do like the moving bottom bracket I'll need to find another (zockra with lottery money?) or do a conversion of a downtube folder with dual 406's. Hurricane in it's commuting mode is too much trouble to transport by car and I may be riding with the Texas Fliers so the road bike will work a little better for that. |
Title: Re: Denton Turkey Roll Post by robert.j on Nov 19th, 2009, 7:35am Nelson: Maybe I could join up with you in Keller for a bit if I knew where and when. I'm sure I'll be out there somewhere. |

Now they can't go and I'm roped into going tonight. .. . . Twilight 9pm . . . New Moon 12:01am [smiley=headbang.gif] And she isn't going to let me ride my bike either [smiley=embarassed.gif] I think I may definately be riding the hurricane this weekend though. Better for the long haul and it'll keep my HR down as long as I don't try to chase some yellow low racer for the whole block or two I could keep it in sight. :P |
