I had one pace me for several hundred feet during the Ennis ride, didn't think dogs could go that fast

I have told this story before. I constructed a bent as many on this site have done. On my maiden voyage, I ran over a dog goin 20 mph. Luckily I hit him straight on. Bents can do wheelies. He wound up between the front and rear wheel squeeling for all his life. Scared the crap out of me. There were clumps of dog hair on the front brake assembly.
