This is a different recall than the one you posted (http://rbentonline.org/YaBB.pl?num=1243646770) about in May?

These tires caused me three blow outs on three different tires.  Awaiting replaement from Schwalbe of the 2010 tire.  One of the blow outs cause me to crash pretty hard as I was rounding a corner.

If you have these tires, don't wait for them to blow off the rim, send them in....

Bud, I believe it to be the same recall(I can't remember). Mark Metcalfe forwarded this to me ,so I thought I would  post the information. Be safe than sorry.

Its too bad, but I'm currently leery of all Schwalbe products, not sure what happened to their quality control, but it seems to be in the toilet.

Take Care,
Nelson.

I haven't had any issues with Kojaks, in my opinion they are extremely fast and seem to last

Yes this is different, a different failure mode. It might be caused by the same defect though.

This was posted by a member on the Catrike forum today:

I just got off the phone with one of the reps at Schwalbe USA (The individuals name is Guy) and he said to stop using Ultremo R tires. The recall is on all Ultremo R tires and not any specific ones. He went on to say that Schwalbe can not determine which Ultremo R tires are good or defective, so they are recalling all Ultremo R tires. If you got one take the picture of the tire and the serial number inside the tire. Get on Schwalbetires.com and fill out the application for Ultremo R recall tires.
