Title: Sneak Peek #2 on Bike X Post by power_bent on Oct 4th, 2009, 2:50pm Here the latest of Bike X http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss6/Thomas_Bent/originallythe1stcreationbyOom005.jpg http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss6/Thomas_Bent/originallythe1stcreationbyOom004.jpg http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss6/Thomas_Bent/originallythe1stcreationbyOom003.jpg Now I need to work on the gusset on the frame and set it up for the bottom bracket. Seat mount then the handle bar. Does anyone have any handle bar set up like the v3,v2 or the x-stream or the stratus bike??? The the last thing before ride is to get cable runed. Title: Re: Sneak Peek #2 on Bike X Post by JimFPU on Oct 5th, 2009, 10:26am You could also consider remote steering Zombie style. Takes out the 'Killer Tiller' effect. Looking good though! |

Title: Re: Sneak Peek #2 on Bike X Post by JimFPU on Oct 19th, 2009, 7:10am So how's the new build coming Thomas? I'm almost ready to mount the BB, and add the cranks back in. Need a steering linkage built for the USS then chain assembled for a test ride. For those interested this is my third build, but no pics yet. I do have pics of the first two, the second is now complete, save paint. Title: Re: Sneak Peek #2 on Bike X Post by power_bent on Oct 19th, 2009, 10:14am Looking good JIm, I haven't been working on my bike due to demand of other people needing help in the VW racing. WE did our best time of 6.85 in the 1/8 mile at 98 mph. So hope fully this week I'll get the bb installed and be working on the steering. Later Thomas J |

Thanks Mikep. The bike handle real good, real easy to get up to speed and it take a little learning to balance during the turn . i'm talking about sharp turn like a 90 degrees tight turn.. |
Title: Re: Sneak Peek #2 on Bike X Post by aikigreg on Feb 28th, 2011, 12:38pm It looks exceptional, Thomas. |
Title: Re: Sneak Peek #2 on Bike X Post by FlyingLaZBoy on Feb 28th, 2011, 7:21pm Nice work, Sir... although in the pics, it looks like you've got the seat at about a 45 degree angle -- I hope you don't have issues with "recumbutt" on longer rides. |

If I take that seat pad off , it look a little more laid back. that pad is thick. I guess I could lay it back a notch or two more.. |
