Title: Cyclist killed locally.... I-20 and FM 5 Post by FlyingLaZBoy on Sep 28th, 2009, 9:24am WILLOW PARK — Larry McQuien, vice president for business ventures with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, died Saturday after being hit by a vehicle while on a bicycle ride. McQuien, 55, of Aledo was pronounced dead about 11:30 a.m. at the scene on the northbound Interstate 20 service road between Ranch House Road and Farm Road 5, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s Web site. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating, said Brad Johnson, Willow Park police chief. No further information was available. McQuien "was very knowledgeable about the business," said John Smith, a Lockheed senior communications manager. "His people operated so well that you came away with the sense that he was not only a good leader but a good mentor." ****************** |
