I'd love to borrow the book, but Thomas seems to have all the tubing, so I'm working on convincing him to build it for me :) |
Title: Re: I'm at it again. Post by JimFPU on Aug 27th, 2009, 8:07am Alright, we need to get together and work this out. I've built a DW (shortened for my kids, so you can't really try it out) and it was my first build. I'm almost finished with a Marauder 2 (rear suspension) and will begin either a Street Fighter or the new Warrior soon. Both of those will be full sized. In the mean time you are welcome to come to the house and check out the progress, and maybe we can work something out. The steel supplier where I get my square tubing only goes down to 14 gauge (I need to find 16) but my kids have no problem peddling the Wolf around, even my 6 YO-now that she can reach the peddles! I really enjoy the building process, but I also have two jobs, and several volunteer things that I do so my time (and $$) is limited. The second job will either end soon or be cut back (voluntarily)-I haven’t decided which yet. Never the less I should have some more time soon, maybe by the end of September. If anyone wants to see the builds live, shoot me a PM and we’ll set something up. Maybe we’ll try and make a family friendly ride sometime if there is one out there. Anyone know of such a ride? (Family friendly in this case means fairly short-I have 4 little ones). [smiley=runover.gif] [smiley=runover.gif] [smiley=runover.gif] [smiley=runover.gif] |
