Title: If you have nothing to change into. do you shower?
Post by evblazer on Jul 10th, 2009, 8:48am

oops
So it took years but it finally happened, I'm just glad it didn't happen when I worked in NYC at headquarters I'd probably have gotten excused for the day.
The ride went well although it is pretty hot out there for early in the day. I got to work and opened my trunk bag to find it was empty except my water bladder. It lays on the bottom of my bag so to refil it last night I might have taken everything I packed out of it and not put it back in.
Given I have a meeting in a few minutes and to get home and back would probably take over 3 hours here I sit in front of the air filter on my desk cooling off.
And I'm sitting in a secure area with the people investigate code of conduct violations including dress code. Nice folks though they offered to go to the cafeteria and pick me up stuff if I needed it. Partly out of kindness but I suspect to help avoid having to deal with the pending complaints about some guy in bike clothes in the cafe.

Yeah yeah.. spare set of complete clothes or at least a pair of normal shorts.. where were ya yesterday  [smiley=tongue.gif]

Ha! Good one Mark!

I've forgotten nearly everything possible over the years.  I have a complete set of clothes stashed at work nowadays, spare cash, shoes you name it.  I have to follow my routine, which involves getting ready the night before, if I leave something to the morning when I'm a zombie it gets forgotten!

Take Care,
Nelson.

Yea. Spare set of everything at work. Learned the hard way. I could only remember a fixed number of items when I commuted. If I added something new, something old fell off the list. Best solution is to retire though. Lots more time to ride that way. Now I'm independently poor but a lot happier.

That's exactly where I'm trying to get.

Well my wife did get a promotion so maybe I'll retire to tend our rose garden out front.

Bud
Retire, the best move I have ever made.  32 years with the state and I was completley fed up[ with the politics.  Recumbents are much nicer.

Get rid of the motor vehicles, sell off everything that has nothing to do with cycling and you're almost there!
