Title: CheeburgerCheeburger 20?k Sat 6/27 7am Post by evblazer on Jun 26th, 2009, 10:36am Well if you want to test your heat conditioning tommorow looks to be a perfect day for it. I plan on heading up to Van Alstyne for a 7am then riding over to forestburg to the control and then back to Van Alstyne to the end solo trudging along on my baloon tired 50lb+ bike. I may be crawling or I may be blazing along at 12mph I can't know for sure till I'm on the road as yesterday I seemed to be going well and this morning I was crawling along. [smiley=embarassed.gif] If one or more of y'all RUSA members wants to sign the waiver at the start and then leave your card on my car at the finish I can take care of it just let me know and I can print a card for ya. The only rule is no pretending to be sick or faking a knee injury to stay back, unless you actually are afflicted by such of course [smiley=beer.gif] |
Title: Re: CheeburgerCheeburger 20?k Sat 6/27 7am Post by Killer Bee on Jun 26th, 2009, 3:53pm I want a detailed description of any corn fields that are encountered(i.e.Italy,Tx reference). Are you riding by yourself? Be careful in the heat. Peggy & I are choosing to ride a shorter route/distance...EARLY! Have you considered riding the July 20th Italy night brevet? Peggy & I rode the night brevet last year in Weatherford & had a blast. We plan to ride the night brevet this year. It's a lot of fun. |

The corn fields in Italy aren't so bad at night(as opposed to what they look like in the blazing sun & 100+ degree temps). The 200k Italy route is a good route. |

Yes, EV be careful. Peggy & I are riding Nelson's Blue Ridge Boogie(early)tomorrow. Bud, glad to hear you're gonna join us in Italy(night brevet). There's just something about riding at night. It's like a bunch of kids in a candy store. Last year Nelson ,Greg, Peggy & I didn't stop yacking until several hours into the ride. There was a secret control(right Shellene & Bryan? ). I believe Nelson is riding with us as well. Now to get Greg, Ray & Paul to join us. |

EV do be careful in the heat, I'll be cruising in the van back to Texas tomorrow, I'll have the phone on 469-644-5827. Take Care, Nelson. |
