This is an "open" 8-mile Time Trial, no race license is required (When I was in Austin I used to skate the one they did down there). I doubt that I will attend these, preferring to beat up the PBA riders (they still haven't learn to not chase me down Dublin into the wind.)

What: RunFAR Bike Time Trials
When: 3rd Tuesday of each month (June 16th)
Time: 6 - 7 pm
Where: Joe Pool Lake Dam

This is a timed workout provided by largest timing/race services company in TX. Personal chip owners are free or you can rent a chip for $5. Registration begins at 5:30.

The Start (timing system) is open from 6-7 and this is an open start format. All you do is show up, check in and then you can start anytime before 7 pm. They will wait for the last person to finish before shutting down finish system.

If you are able to get there early and start at 6 and want to do it twice; thats fine, as long as you start your second lap before 7.

This is a chance to gauge your training over the summer on the same course and/or get some bragging rights. They will also have some giveaways/prizes at the last TT in September.

I've heard of this ride before, and always planned to go, and always forget about it. I'll have to give the July/August ones a try.
