Title: Sebring 24 hours

The Sebring race in Florida is coming up this Valentine's weekend...  Greg Gross is going to race his CarBent in an attempt to RAAM qualify (425 miles in <24 hours), so this can serve as the thread for his efforts.

The course begins with 3 laps (3.7 miles each) on the famous Sebring race course. Riders then make and easy transition to flat, sometimes rolling roads with a minimum amount of traffic that comprise the long loop (89 miles). This is followed by an 11-mile short loop that riders will stay on until late evening. As darkness sets in, racers will continue on the raceway course throughout the night. The raceway course will be lined with glow sticks for easy identification of the route.

Regretfully, I will not be participating in this effort, due to various personal situations... I was planning to, but it didn't work out.    [smiley=shrug.gif]   Perhaps another race, another time...

Go, Greg!     [smiley=bounce.gif]   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Good luck, Greg! It should be one grand adventure. When you find yourself getting exhausted during the ride, just remind yourself it could be worse, you could be riding the hills of Aledo with a 40 mph crosswind!
