Title: Plano East Ride Today
Post by Mrs Strada on Jan 3rd, 2009, 8:41pm

Today I rode the Plano East Ride . I got in 37 miles. It was warm ,sunny and a little windy today. It was a smaller group today than the other couple of times I've ridden this ride. I missed the regular rbenters on this ride today.

It was nice to see Richard today. After the ride I stopped by Plano Cycle and fitness. As I was going in I saw Bikin Mike. He is a great guy. Mike helped Steve and I in our first year of riding .We did Bikin Mike's indoor cycling class. Bikin Mike also gave us supplies for this year TTT.

In the course of our conversation Mike called me a cyclist. I think that is the first time I've been referred to in that way.It set me back and made me proud coming from some one that I look up to like Bikin Mike. This was a great day, all that was missing was Steve. He's battling an inflamed Achilles tendon(but still managed to ride 20+ miles on his own).

Peddlin' Peggy - to many of us, you're much more than a cyclist.  An accomplished CYCLIST, yes you are.  A GREAT HUMAN BEING, yes you are.

Sorry to hear about Steve's continued inflamed Achilles tendon.  I can give you the name of a good surgeon  ;)   I know how much Steve likes to go under the knive.  Personally, I look forward to seeing both you and Steve exceed your goals for 2009.  I know you will, as you have the heart and mind!

Ray ,I believe in alternative means -ART,twice a week for three weeks & I will be good as new. I'm still riding ,just not riding any long distances.  I've ridden a LSR ride every Sat/Sun since 10/4(sometimes both Sat & Sun on a weekend)-16 weekends in a row.. January will be a little bit of break time for me. This is the time of the year to rest up before the warm weather comes around & the season gets really going.

And you are correct...Peggy is an accomplished cyclist & more than just a cyclist. Thanks for the kind words.
