:)Rode 30 miles today. :)

I know that some of you guys can ride as far before breakfast, but for a (upper) middle aged fat boy that has just recently started back to riding I feel a great sense of accomplishment. Over the previous 20 years I've probably totaled 1500-2000 miles on diamond frames, but I could never stand to ride more than 20 miles. If I hadn't of had other commitments, I feel comfortable that I could have done another 10-15 miles without any problems.

I went out on the Trinity Trails and for the first third of the ride, I was averaging 17-18 mph when I wasn't slowing down to dodge dogs, kids and leisurely strollers. Quite a bit of traffic on the trails today. I think once the engine gets tuned up a bit better, I should be able to hold 20 mph on the Cafe.

One thing I've learned is never to measure yourself against the accomplishments of someone else. There is always someone faster, better looking, stronger, smarter, etc. Nice work and keep it going!

Greg's right. A personal best is a personal best, no matter what someone else does. Congrats!
