Title: 3000
Post by jcsadowski on Dec 24th, 2008, 8:26pm

Today on Christmas eve I received my own present. I past over the 3000 mile mark for 2008.
Not as impressive as some but impressive for me.
I want to thank Richard, Tom and Jay for giving me the incentive to go a little faster and a little farther.

3,000 miles is nothing to sneeze at; lots of folks never get anywhere near 3,000 miles in one year. Congrats!

Steve,
I put 1173 miles on the Giro this year. I have also gotten a lot more comfortable on it.

John,

That is kick butt! I sure do miss the rides but being employed has its benefits! Keep it up, you have a few more days (if your honey doesn't smack you). I am determined to ride more in 2009.

Dude - *YOU* may think 3000 isn't that much, but ALL of us know better.  You've got more under your belt this year than 90% of the cyclists out there.  Nice work, and keep it up for a couple more decades!

For what it is worth I ended up with 3121 miles for the year.

Well according to Bikejournal.com I'm going to finish out the year with a hair over 1000 miles in spite of not having a ridable bicycle at the start of the year. In fact I didn't ride my own bike until October 18th, so more than half my miles were done on borrowed wheels. BTW, Thanks guys. Having something to ride until I could make something ridable kept me just sane enough.

Glad we could help, Opus...  especially for someone as dependent upon those wheels as you are.   :)

Even more folks never get near 3,000 miles their entire life
