Title: anyone riding this weekend?
Post by aikigreg on Dec 19th, 2008, 9:15am

There's an FWBA ride in arlington at 9am in Mansfield I'm thinking on going to.  It's 2 routes of 20-something and 40-something.  I'm thinking of doing both to get a 60 miler in, maybe, but I dunno any other rides going on.

Or we could do an airport ride.  Anyone up for anything?

I'm doing 20+ miles round trip for the Winter Solstice Celebration put on by EarthRythms, does that count?

I assume you mean the Lillian Loop? I was going to do a Grapevine/DFW ride but what the heck...if you go I go. Besides I'm apparently the last person who hasn't seen the Carbent yet

Well I'd love to Mark, but it seems the wife is forcing me to do honey-dos tomorrow.   ::)

Well with all the side trips yesterday I did just shy of 24 miles, and also several hours of standing around waiting for my part of the festivities :P And the recto-crainially impaired drivers showed up right on cue just as I passed the Garland City Limits sign, becoming more numerous as I headed east. >:( I'm telling my state rep (Joe Driver) that bike infrastructure would cost a lot less if they would spend a little more on educating drivers and cyclists on how to share the stuff we already have in place. Then instead of putting bike paths and lanes everywhere they could just be put in places where cars make it too dangerous to share, like Central Expy

I'm sure not riding this weekend.  Left Friday for Kansas City.  Hated to do that with such good weather in the 70's.  It's about 6 degrees up here right now.  Should get down to -6 tonight.  Have not seen anyone out riding bikes and I didn't bring mine.  Here's wishing all RBenter's a very Merry Christmas and warmer weather to ride in!  DJ

Opus,

If the wheels are spinning, it counts.
