Yes, it was great riding with rbenters again, and meeting some new folks. Nice photos, Paul!

Paul,
Thank you so much for setting this up.  Vicky and I had a great time both at the ride and dinner afterwards.  Getting together with so many other bent riders was a real pleasure!

absolutely.  I especially applaud all those who got a little bit out of their comfort zone to come hang out.  You battles some stiff winds and pretty good hills to make this this most successful rbent ever, and I hope it just gets bigger!

The DFW airport loop is really NOT an "easy" ride, actually, especially with a 20 mph south wind blowing!  However, as shown, it can definitely be done, and is a relatively bike-friendly loop (with the exception of that mile of Belt Line Road), traffic-wise.  Going clockwise, the two miles of climbing at the south end seems to last forever, and if you take the Tower Loop, you add another 1.5 miles of uphill into the wind distance on to it.  But whether you ride it at 8mph or 18 mph, you just keep those pedals spinning...  And a south wind makes the 2nd half of the ride GREAT!!!

Thanks again, and congrats to those who rode the course for the first time!  We'll do it again...  And Ken, excellent suggestion on the BBQ place -- I think we'll revisit THAT, as well....

Paul thanks for putting the ride together. It was great to see some riders I don't get to ride with very often and meet so new bent riders. Mike thanks for riding with me :).                Mrs Strada
