I'm thinking about doing this ride with the FWBA on Sunday. The populaire would be more drive distance than bike distance, and I just can't do it. This route however looks to be decent:

Come explore the roads from Saginaw to Azle, Rhome and beyond. Routes of 15, 26, 60 and 90 miles are available. The 15 and 26 mile routes circle Marine Creek Lake and are pretty flat. The 60 and 90 mile routes go out to Azle and around Eagle Mountain Lake and are not so flat. There are plenty of stores to stop at and refuel. Vernon will have maps and cues sheets, and as always, no one gets dropped. Start at the parking lot of Tarrant County College, North West campus, 4801 Marine Creek Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76179.

I was thinking of skipping the populaire too, but in favor of the Old Dennis Permanent on Saturday. I won't be able to do the other perm on the 26th, so if I'm going to do the R12 thing I need to do a 200 this weekend or next. It's a long drive, but I'd be happy to split gas. And it's a 6am start.
