Title: My daugther rode her first recumbent bike today!
Post by EZ-Rose on Mar 10th, 2008, 10:15pm

One of our 27 yr old dauther came over today, and talked her into going for a bike ride.  I have been trying to get her on the EZ-1, so she could get the feel of it. So,,we both put on our riding attire..she wore one of Bud's old helmet.  And first thing she said was...."Mom..I look like a geek!"  I said...wait till you get on that bike!!   ;D  When she first took of, she wobbled, but got the hang of it fast!  We put in 5 miles, just rode around the hood.  She was amazed at how many comments we get from people as we were riding.  When all was said and done...I think I wore her out!   Altho, I remember when Bud and I first started riding, after 7 miles we were exhausted!  Now 7 miles is nothing!  It was a very nice slow ride, I really enjoyed it!  What I enjoyed the most, was that this was the first ride ever, my daugther and I had ever done  together!  Another price-less Kodak moment! :)

She doesn't look entirely convinced in that photo...   ;D

I looked at that bike while it was hanging up on Sunday -- I take it the seatback doesn't recline any more, with that fixed aluminum bracket, or does it?

Glad you got her out and around!

That's a 1999 vintage of the carbon fiber Easy Racer Cobra seat, and no, there's no recline adjustment. It's short enough that it doesn't even reach my upper back, but it has felt more comfortable than I would expect, the few times I've sat on it.

Rose I thought that was you for a minute.  Y'all could be sisters (twins even), not mother-daughter.
