Title: David's New Bike Post by Richard on Jul 20th, 2007, 12:24pm You gotta be David W. If not then we are on a carbon craze lately. I looked at that very bike this week. It sure is sweet. How does it compare to the goldrush? I am looking forward to Paris. We should have quite a bent contingent. I hope the Bacchetta folks are following this forum. They should send a rep just for our group! Super congratulations on the bike! Notice I started a new thread to keep the mod squad smiling ;) |
Title: Re: David's New Bike Post by goldrushdave on Jul 29th, 2007, 4:20pm Sorry it took me so long to reply. :-/ I think the Carbon aero is certainly harder to ride and balance than the Gold Rush, but easier on hills. May be faster, but I'm a pretty slow rider, so not much of a comparison. Just did a 45 miler at the lake, and did the steepest hill climb three times, you know the road when you turn from 7-ll and then go back to the stop sign, and go straight. I really like it on hills. Its a VERY different feel to the ride depending on how much you recline the seat. It does not feel as solid as the Gold Rush but you with the high bottom bracket you can use more of your legs, its more of a full leg press feeling than the Gold Rush, which focuses more on your quads, like a DF. Anyway, hope this isn't more information than you asked for. The Weight of the CF Aero is 21 lbs. Later David |
