Hmm, I think the question is how is the organization, especially for recumbents?  Last year was there an issue about that for the few of us who participated?  Refresh my memory.  Smiley

It's basically fine, they create separate categories for us...  it's just that timekeeping and awards was somewhat haphazard.  I think they'll do better this year.

I agree with Paul, I enjoyed riding in it and plan to attend again this year.  It’s a great opportunity to get a bunch of bent riders out doing something different and show off your ride.  There were a couple remarks made by some riders but you’ll get that anywhere, show up have fun and dont worry about others comments.

I totally enjoyed the Senior Games. The only thing I'd change is this year we need to get all of our medals together under our own tent and have our own awards ceremony and let the uprights have their own in their tent. Listening to the upright guy tell all of those stories about the upright riders got a little tiresome.  cry cry cry

Adults should have fun so kids will want to grow up!

For every mile of road there's two miles of ditch.

I'd rather be sorry for something I did than for something I didn't do.

Great idea.  They're certainly not going to give such press to bents.  Why not have another tent for clearly another category realm of cycling.  "The Bent Tent Awards!"

Yes, and either the clowns or maybe Mike Lubrik handing out the awards.....someone who knows the recumbent riders and can give a little information on folks who have overcome different trials and tribulations, like the upright guy did. No pressure, but........

Stopped by Texas Motor Speedway on my home today and rode 30 miles, hope they do some road work before March.  There are some rough spots on the north west corner so if you go there be cautious of what appears to be new pavement as it was poorly laid.

I’m looking forward to running the Vendetta this year.

Are they allowing recumbents to race the 20-40 mile road races?

Recumbents raced the same distance as uprights last year and BTW that is Kilometers not miles

Thanks Joe, i knew it was km, but my mind strayed. I called the senior parks division several times today. They were out all day doing something. But you answered my question. I hope to be able to do the 5, 10, and 20 k. My training and riding came to a halt as my daughter, 3 grands, wife and I were diagnosed with Strep throat. I guess one of the grands brought it home from school where they are a lot of cases.
