FUN RIDE 9/2/17
Aug 5^th, 2017, 1:21pm

Check your calendar, it is time to let you know the fun ride (12 mph or less) to Lancaster air show, car show, food and maybe ice cream. 17 miles out and 17 miles back. no water or bathroom during ride. Bathroom at start and at Lancaster. Cost is $2.50 entry around $5.00 for food, extra for water or ice cream or anything else. Leaving from Robinwood Baptist church Hi-way 175 and Stark rd. Segoville Tx. Be ready to ride at 8:00am. 9/2/17. Smiley

Hoping to make this again this year.

Some of the stories I heard at work about gas difficulties made me a bit concerned, but what I saw of gas stations on the way home looked normal other than elevated prices. Stories had me concerned that I might not be able to find gas sometime between now and Saturday, and if that turns out to be the case I'll be concerned for more than my own range anxiety. Those old planes don't sip fuel either.

I'll try to remember to not leave the straps for the panniers dangling around the rear wheel this year.

(P.S. I'm not expecting to be any faster than last year.

)

May ride one of my trikes, and chance getting my face chewed off by one of Kenny's "Valley of the Dogs" dogs. Several other Clowns have stated their intentions to do the ride. Good thing you didn't make it, cause Billy Bob and Jimmy John had scattered thousands of glass shards over some of the back roads on our route. Two of us experienced flats. E. Bob's flat was caused by a shard and mine by a thorn I picked up running through the grass on the shoulder, trying to avoid the shards.

No fun .. my co-pilot woke about 4am with a fever so we spent the morning at the doc-in-a-box .. Sounds like it was a frustrating ride. Was the ice cream back?

Ice cream was back, but they didn't start making it until the show was well under way. Not as big an operation as the previous one, so not a lot of people were served, if they ever got it made.
