Oklahoma Recumbent Rally, Sat. April 22

Craig B phoned Oklahoma Recumbent Bikes & Trikes, during yesterday's Clown ride, to find out when this year's Oklahoma Recumbent Rally in Lexington, OK will take place. The date is April 22. The rally will coincide with Lexington's annual 89ers Day celebration, so, should be extra fun. Great opportunity to ride and associate with a large group of recumbent enthusiasts. Rally schedule has not yet been established. Craig and I will be attending, riding our ICE VTX's. Kenny J is thinking about attending. All three of us have attended previous rallies. Got to do something about getting some granny gearing on my trike for those Oklahoma hills. Tongue

“OKLAHOMA RECUMBENT RALLY”
April 22nd 2017

The purpose of this email is to invite you to our Recumbent Rally. This is basically a get together of anyone that rides a recumbent.
Come meet other bike and trike riders, and look at new products you haven’t seen. Come to sell, swap, or trade with others.
We will have country rides of less than 10 miles, to as long as 30 miles. Sag support will be provided.
Tell your friends and recumbent riders about our rally, and yes we will let other bikers join our group.

Ride starts: Between 9:00 and 10:30 depending on the crowd.

Yesterday's Lexington weather forecast for Saturday wasn't good. Today's forecast is better. Will be keeping an eye on it, as Saturday approaches.

Bad weather conditions on the drive up on Friday and Friday night (Possible heavy rain, large hail, high winds, and a tornado). Cloudy and windy with windchill temperatures in the 40's on Saturday morning.

Just did the same thing -- the 2 W's getting in the way -- work possibly preventing my ride up there and weather, well making my ride up there potentially too exciting.

Five Clowns were going to attend the ride. Hopefully the weather will cooperate next year and we can all attend.
