Olympus Has Fallen (Read 1948 times)

reever rbent member Posts: 459	Olympus Has Fallen Mar 5^th, 2017, 12:10pm Many of you know this already, but one of our giants in the recumbent world--Dan Hansen--fell and broke his hip on the very first day of his trip across America. Please pray for his speedy recovery! I'm sure all of us are sharing in his pain.

Dan Hansen was 6 miles into the first day, hit a pothole, and went down. I don't know the make, but he was on a 2-wheel recumbent. I only saw photos of it on Facebook. How very disappointing for him! His surgery was yesterday - titanium rod inserted and the pieces of bone enclosed around the titanium rod - all will fuse back together. According to his wife, the surgery went well. That's all I know, courtesy of Facebook posts I've seen.

Sounds like he caught an ankle, etc., when he went down due to the pothole. PB
