[sold] Rans XStream $1100-$1700
May 16th, 2015, 3:20pm

I'm selling my Rans XStream to make room for a new bike. Includes the awesome Rans Tail Bag and Adem headrest. Price is $1100 with the original 650b wheel set with the novatec hubs and bladed spokes. For an additional $600 you can also have the 26" (559) wheels and tires pictured on the bike. Front hub is a Phil Wood High Flange Track hub 32H laced to a Velocity Synergy rim. Pacela Panaracer tire. Rear wheel is a Chris King R45 32H laced to a Velocity Synergy OC rim. Fatboy Flak Jacket tire on rear. The spoke holes on the rear rim are offset for more even spoke tension. 9 speed cassette. Pictured on the bike are modified 3 way high racer handlebars. These get you hands closer to your chest and allow a more natural hand position than to original superman handlebars. Original handlebar also included. I'm offering the fancy wheels for the price of the hubs, but its a limited time offer available until May 30. After that I cut the spokes out, toss the rims, and use the hubs for a 700c/406 wheel set for the new bike. Text or call Mike at 817-four five six-1913.

I've ordered a P38 from Easy Street. I love my Xstream, but I want to switch to a bike that sits very upright and puts my head and neck in a fairly neutral position....You need a spare Xstream don't you? What if you have a guest who wants to ride one, and you don't want them to ride yours?  Smiley

As a deal sweetener, I can throw in a Rockymounts LWB/Tandem rooftop rack to carry it home on too....

I decided on disc hubs for the P38 build, so the Chris King/Phil wheel set is still available. If someone doesn't buy the bike I may just put a sling mesh seat on it and keep it. Four bikes is really one more than I need though, so somebody needs to buy this one!

What size is the Hoagie seat?  Standard Size?  Or large size?

I don't see any markings on either the seat or the bike, but based on my x-seam (45) and the seat position on the bike, the bike is an XL...so I would guess its a large seat.

Bike frame and Hoagie seat don't necessarily have to match.  If the FRAME is an XL, that should be part of the serial number.  For the Hoagie seat, you'd just have to measure it.   I don't have mine here at work, but I'll try to remember to post a pic of the XL Hoagie with measurement for you.  You could also call RANS and talk to Kara or Jerrell, and ask them what the size difference is.

After speaking with Rans, I can confirm that both bike and seat are standard, not XL.

I decided to keep the XStream and convert it to my commuter bike.
